This Privacy Policy describes how FitForge AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Email address (used for login & account recovery)
- Encrypted password (stored using one-way bcrypt hashing — we never see your plain password)
- Display name (optional)
1.2 Health & Fitness Profile
- Age, weight, height, gender
- Fitness goal (e.g. lose weight, build muscle, improve endurance)
- Activity / fitness level
- Workout logs (exercises completed, duration, calories burned)
- Meal logs (foods, macros, calorie intake)
- Water intake, body weight tracking, and progress photos (if you upload them)
1.3 AI Coach Conversations
- Messages you send to the in-app AI Coach are processed by our AI provider (currently OpenAI / Emergent LLM service) to generate responses.
- Conversation history is stored on our servers to maintain context across chats. You can delete it at any time from the Profile screen.
1.4 Device & Usage Information
- Device type, OS version, app version (for analytics & crash reporting)
- Permissions you grant (camera, photo library, microphone) — only used when you actively use the corresponding feature
1.5 Payment Information (if you subscribe)
- Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit-card numbers on our servers.
- We store your subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer ID for billing.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide personalized workout plans, meal plans, and AI coaching
- Calculate metrics such as Fitness Age, Body Score, AI Readiness Score, and Recovery Index
- Maintain your account, sync data across devices, and provide customer support
- Process subscription payments (via Stripe)
- Improve the App through aggregated, anonymized analytics
- Communicate important account or service updates
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with these trusted service providers, strictly to operate the App:
- OpenAI / Emergent LLM — AI coach & AI plan generation (conversation content only)
- Stripe — subscription payment processing
- MongoDB Atlas — secure database hosting
- Hosting infrastructure — encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS)
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of FitForge AI or its users.
4. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS / TLS
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage
- Authentication uses signed JWT tokens with expiry
- Access to production databases is restricted to authorized personnel
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, which permanently removes your profile, logs, AI history, and subscription data within 30 days.

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time

7. Children’s Privacy
FitForge AI is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Medical Disclaimer
FitForge AI provides general fitness and nutrition information — not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise or diet program. We are not liable for any injuries or health issues resulting from use of the App.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. We use standard contractual safeguards to protect your data in international transfers.
10. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
